Should celebrities be afforded the same right to privacy as regular citizens? This question does not have a concrete answer, as many people have differing opinions on the subject. Some people say that celebrities inherently give up the right to privacy by putting themselves in the public eye. “It comes with the job,” they might say to justify their opinion. Other people would argue that celebrities are people too, and deserve the same right to privacy that regular citizens enjoy. Just because someone’s choice of career puts him or her in the public eye does not mean they can or should have their privacy be invaded. Even though the initial question does not have a solid answer, it seems that it is much harder for a public figure to defend their right to privacy than it is for a regular citizen.
