The Affordable Care Act, commonly known as Obamacare, has been the subject of much debate since President Obama initially introduced the bill. Leading up to the 2016 Presidential Election, Republican nominee Donald Trump promised to repeal the bill as soon as he got into office if he were to win. Donald Trump ended up winning the election, and tried to repeal Obamacare within his first 100 days. However, Trump was unable to repeal Obamacare at that time, but promises to repeal it at some point in the future. As of right now, the Affordable Care Act still stands, but it may be living on borrowed time. Many people who benefit from the law fear that it will soon be repealed.
