Stephen Colbert, host of The Late Show
This past week, host of The Late Show, Stephen Colbert, caused a bit of controversy with his opening monologue as he riddled off a multitude of jokes and insults towards the current president, Donald Trump. Many Trump supporters thought Stephen Colbert went too far, and soon started crying for Colbert’s firing. Even the FCC had to comment on the situation, ensuring the public that Stephen Colbert would not be allowed to go too far without some form of censorship, such as “bleeping” any profanity he might use. Conversely, many people who do not support Donald Trump pointed out that the Trump supporters who claim to hate political correctness and being told what to do were now trying to tell people what to do, specifically telling Stephen Colbert to not insult Trump. It appears that Trump supporters love dishing out the insults, but can’t seem to take a taste of their own medicine.
